a peeve

Last night after work some of us went out for dinner because Emily is moving to Maryland. Here's a pet peeve of mine- splitting a bill when some people ordered way more food than others. I am on a serious budget right now since I'm dumping all available funds into the kitchen project. So I don't order any appetizers. The rest of the table shares 3. I don't eat any of it. A bunch of people order alcohol- multiple beers per person. I have water. When the bill comes someone decides it comes out to $20 a person if we split it. I ordered a $6 sandwich. Grr.
