Serenity now!!!

My advice- buy new. My old condo causes me so many headaches and it's starting to feel like a money pit. The next time I buy a place I am going to look for something newer- or at least renovated/updated. I was SO SO SO excited a couple days ago because I spent all day at Sears but had finally purchased a new washer, dryer, and stove. My current dryer takes about 3 hours to dry one normal-sized load of clothes. That is not an exaggeration. All of the burners on my stove are loose and completely lopsided, making it near impossible to cook anything. Well, when the electrician came over last night it all went to hell. Since everything is so outdated, I found out that it is going to cost me about $200 to put in the appropriate outlet for the oven and about $800 to put in a "220 line" (oh yeah I am so down with all the lingo- if anyone is house hunting I'm your girl). I nearly fainted. I wish I had known what I know now when I was buying this place. Yeah and it gets better because they're going to have to cut holes in my ceiling to get the line from the electrical box to the laundry area. But no, it doesn't end there. I went down to talk to my neighbor about the plumbing/leak issues mentioned in my previous post. He wats me to hire a plumber since this has happened before (the Great Christmas debacle of '06). But last time I had the plumber come he couldn't find anything wrong. The only way to really know if there's a problem is to tear apart the walls, and I am so not about to get into all of that. Plus my neighbor says he heard my shower running as his ceiling was leaking. When I asked him what time this was at he said 8:30- I was not even home. So I am wondering if he can possibly be hearing somebody else's water. I need to talk to someone in the management office but they are closed until Monday. I can't stand this stress. Somebody make it all better for me. Please.
