unexpected
So I've talked a few times to this guy I met online and he told me the other day he'd call me on Thursday night since I was off. I missed his call so I called him back around 7:45 and he says he's on his way home but can be ready in like 20 to 30 minutes. What?! He thought I knew we were going out. Since when does "I'll give you a call" mean we've made plans. I felt bad that I misunderstood him, so I agreed to meet him for dinner- at get this...the Olive Garden. As some may know, probably the last place on earth I'd pick to have dinner. It's not that I don't like the food there, it's just that it's so generic and there are so many other more interesting options in Philly. Not to mention that whenever we went there for APO there was always at least a 2 hour wait. But whatever. So I had like 15 minutes to get ready- so not good when I had been lounging around in my cleaning clothes all day. The date went pretty well I suppose. No akward silences. Although I almost busted out laughing when he said the word "crick". Who says that? Unless you're from Alabama or something, which he isn't. And at one point he got some parsely or something stuck in his teeth and I couldn't help but stare at it but thankfully it dislodged itself. We shall see. Just came home to another note from my downstairs neighbor saying his ceiling is leaking again when I run my shower. Oh fab-u-lous.
