Tails of pet-sitting

After work on Tuesday I moved myself into the house where I am pet sitting for 8 days. Yesterday I did my grocery shopping. Problem was, there fridge was crammed so full of food there was no room for me to put anything. I ended up tossing out a bunch of black bananas, moldy grapes, and something else I can't remember to make myself a little corner of space. You'd think they could have done this before they left. Also, the pantry. Packed. No way to make any room in there, and I can't leave anything on the counter because the dog, Ben, is humongoind and can reach anything. So I ended up jamming the rest of my stuff in the china cabinet. I also went to the library yesterday and stocked up on magazines and books to keep me occupied since the crazy people have no TV. I mean, c'mon, who doesn't have at least one tv these days?? Thank god they do have a projector and screen so I can at least watch movies from their DVD collection. So far I've watched Babel (I'll give it a grade of a B), The Virgin Suicides (C), Friends with Money (D), and Rumor Has It (C). I've also been working on taking tests for my ornithology course because the zoo won't reimburse me the money I paid for it until I pass it and get the certificate. At the moment I'm back at my apartment for a few hours because Germany is playing Portugal in the quarter-finals. Should be a nail-biter. Time to go, it's almost time for kickoff- Go Germany!!
