Miiiiiiiiike!

Mike came to visit this weekend- yay! Even though I had to work, as always, we still got to hang out some. Last night we went to a fun restaurant in center city called Tavern 17. I guess they are known for their "sliders" (which I learned are mini hamburgers), but since I don't eat hamburgers I got chili, which seemed like a good choice because it is finally starting to feel like fall. This makes me super happy. Fall is definitely the best season. The lighting in the restaurant was kinda weird though, and made me feel like I was on an airplane. Mike and Lauren thought I was crazy, but I think Jen got me. Or at least pretended to.

Then, the best part, we went to Franklin's Fountain, which is this cool old-timey ice cream parlor I learned about by watching Road Tasted with the Dean boys. Lauren ordered a massive sundae (which I helped her finish after eating all of my own dish-eesck) called the Lightning rod. Let me describe it for you- coffee ice cream with brownie, fudge sauce, whipped cream, chocolate-covered espresso beans, a shot of espresso, and a pretzel stick for the "rod". Yum. Oh and I got a great picture of her sticking her tongue out while eating it. Heehee.
